Ako Ōzora (大空 アコ Ōzora Ako) is one of the main characters in Kaidan Restaurant anime. She is currently attending Yamazakura Elementry School. Though her real name is "Ako", she is commonly referred as "Anko" by her friends and classmates. When Shō transfers, she is the first one of her classmates to befriend him, despite him ignoring her at first. Ako is generally kind to people, she is very supportive and encouraging. She is very appreciative of good horror stories, but prefers the ones with happy endings. Although she doesn't have a huge love for ghost stories like her friend Shō, when she hears about one, she likes to learn more about the story and the facts about it, like the morals or historical significance. She cares very much about her glasses. When they get dirty, she runs around frantically while screaming and one time jumped out of the window which saved Yuma and her from being eaten by ogres.

Shou, Ako and Reiko are three friends who live in a spooky town filled with ghost stories and haunted places, such as the abandoned Kaidan Restaurant. From an encounter with a bullied classmate at school who’s acting strangely like a cat to vacationing in the countryside near a forest where a boy once drowned, the trio often find themselves in the middle of supernatural tales of terror. Whether they’re telling frightful legends or inadvertently interacting with the dead, Shou, Ako and Reiko will experience the scary side of life with curiosity and camaraderie.
