Annette (called Annet in Dracula X) is a supporting character in the Castlevania series. She is Richter Belmont's girlfriend. She made her debut in the 1993 NEC PC Engine game Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, reprising this role in a few other games such as Castlevania: Dracula X, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles and CR Pachinko Akumajō Dracula. In some games, and depending on the actions taken by the player through their journey, she can also be fought as a boss. She is strong willed and hates anything dishonest. She is a calm woman and kind towards everyone. She was kidnapped and taken to the demon castle by Shaft. Dracula detected her relationship with Richter, and he decided to use her as a countermeasure against Richter by transforming her into a vampire. Annette was transformed into a wicked vampire by Dracula. Her sense of self has eroded, and her expression is devoid of her former self. She wields a trident manifested from her wickedness and is a faithful follower of Dracula.

Castlevania
Castlevania: Hymn of Blood is an interpretation of a possible backstory for Simon Belmont, the protagonist of the Castlevania video games. It should come as a relief to old-school gamers that the serialized story seems to focus more on references and lore from the three NES games, rather than anything from the more recent (and terrible) games.
