Igawa Asagi is the protagonist of the Taimanin Asagi visual novel series and the Taimanin Asagi OVA series. As the leader of all Taimanin and current academy's principal, she is a figure demanding respect from friend and foe, well known as the strongest Taimanin. Asagi has long dark-blue hair with spiky bangs and teal eyes with tsurime eyes, her bust is medium-sized to big. She wears a purple battle suit. In her Kage form, Asagi's skin becomes violet and her hair white. Asagi is a mature confident woman, she will act serious and strict on missions. Demanding a reasonable degree of professionalism but from time to time drops it because of her sister. In most games she will be the mature one that will take action if needed, becoming a calm veteran, with a bit of a deadpan humor. In a fight she tends to taunt her enemies and even feels some level of enjoyment from fighting. Outside of missions she acts really caring and motherly to her friends and family, and as a mentor and inspiration for her students. In the case of captures she remains iron willed to a superhuman degree and will even then taunt the people trying to break her. Asagi is more shy about sexual and romantic things than her sister, as she tries to act professional. If broken she turns into a very needy, sluttish and submissive woman to her lover. Her Kage and Vampire form are so different from her, they can be seen as other characters.

In a near-future Japan where demons, ghouls, and dark beings roam... The ancient agreement of mutual non-intervention between humans and demons has begun to fall apart as mankind derails to the dark path. Humans and demons have colluded in criminal gangs and corporations, causing havoc and bringing forth an age of chaos. But those who follow the path of virtue have not been left powerless. The government created an organization composed of ninjas with demon-slaying powers to fight the evil forces that plague the world. Those ninjas were known as the Taimanin. In the world where darkness roams, a man of ambition and strength has risen to destroy the equilibrium of the three ruling forces and conquer the world.
