Chisa is one of the major characters of the Grand Blue series. She is a first-year Mechanical Engineering student at Izu University. Chisa has short brown hair and she is average in height and build. She has been described as cute by other characters and Iori has made several comments about her body, particularly her butt, which he calls spectacular. She has the second smallest bust among the female characters and though she is conscious of it, she isn't as concerned about her chest size as much as Aina. Chisa appears to be more level-headed and serious compared to the other characters. While the rest of her class fools around, she takes her studies seriously. She rarely takes part in the diving club's shenanigans and is usually seen sitting off observing. She loves diving and is usually the most eager in anything related to diving. She has clear dislike for rowdy behaviors (that most of her friends have) and can be quite hostile, especially when it is directed towards her.
Grand Blue
Among the seaside town of Izu's ocean waves and rays of shining sun, Iori Kitahara is just beginning his freshman year at Izu University. As he moves into his uncle's scuba diving shop, Grand Blue, he eagerly anticipates his dream college life, filled with beautiful girls and good friends. But things don't exactly go according to plan. Upon entering the shop, he encounters a group of rowdy, naked upperclassmen, who immediately coerce him into participating in their alcoholic activities. Though unwilling at first, Iori quickly gives in and becomes the heart and soul of the party. Unfortunately, this earns him the scorn of his cousin, Chisa Kotegawa, who walks in at precisely the wrong time.
