Clara Sesemann is the daughter of Herr Sesemann from Frankfurt and she later becomes one of Heidi's best friends. Clara is an invalid who could only move around with a wheelchair; though later in the series she becomes able to stand for the first time due to being scared by a cow that approached her while reading a book with her grandmother. Slowly but surely, she became able to walk with the help of Heidi and the others.

After becoming an orphan, Heidi is forced to live with her grandfather Öhi, who lives in the Alps. She learns he's a very bitter man who only accepted by force to take her in. But Heidi's kindness may be able to open his heart. Together with the shepherd Peter and disabled Klara, she has lots of adventures. Source: MAL
