Game Gear is fair-skinned with large, slanted dull red eyes. Her light blue hair appears to be short, with her center bangs being emerald in color, while the bangs and forelock on the right of her head is red. Her attire is composed of a loose, large grey hoodie-styled dress with a button pad on the top of her hood. The hoodie has two large sky blue zippers with a white design below the one on top of her chest. Each pocket flap is black with a game pad on the right side, and two large buttons on the left. With her hoodie she wears grey boots with two glowing blue sections on each boot. She wears an odd, black creature-styled backpack with tiny glowing features on each shoulder strap, matching it's glowing face and buttons near the bottom of it's body. Game Gear is one of the Sega Hard Girls set to be featured in Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls. Unike her Hyperdimension Neptunia counterpart, Nepgear, she is inspired by a real handheld, the Sega Game Gear.

This is Gamindustri. Beings called the Goddesses rule the countries of this unreal world. The four Goddesses govern four states: Planeptune, Lastation, Lowee, and Leanbox. For many long years, these countries fought each other over the Shares, the source of the Goddess power. However, fearful that the conflict would pointlessly erode their countries' strength, the Goddesses signed a Friendship Treaty forbidding them from taking Shares by force. Under the treaty, the Goddesses and their younger sisters took a step forward to a new stage in their relations. It was the dawn of a new, dynamic era marked occasionally by shared laughter, disputes as well cooperation. What does the future hold in store for Gamindustri?
