Hamin is one of the secondary characters in the webcomic The Girl From Random Chatting. She is the girlfriend of Joonwoo Choi. She was first introduced in chapter 4 when Joonwoo caught a soccer ball coming towards her face. However, she was properly introduced in chapter 5 at the PC Bang, where she carried Joonwoo and his friend in a game of Overwatch. Hamin usually an intimidating demeanor but shows empathy for those that are close to her. She is extremely intelligent and is the top scoring student in the school due to the fact that she spends lots of time at cram school. Hamin is also quite popular but she usually ignores anyone that tries to talk or befriend her because she doesn't care about expectations of her. It also makes her uncomfortable to interact with strangers.

The story is as follows: Joonwoo hates school and has trouble making friends. The only time he’s happy is when he’s talking to strangers on the Random Chatting phone app. That’s how Joonwoo ends up befriending a girl on RanChat who turns out to be his classmate Sungah, but she has no idea about it! Will Joonwoo be able to fight his social anxiety and become closer to her in real life?
