Houshou Marine (宝鐘マリン) is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber. She is a part of the third generation of hololive members called hololive Fantasy (ホロライブファンタジー) alongside Usada Pekora, Uruha Rushia, Shiranui Flare, and Shirogane Noel. Marine is a bold, fast-talking girl who often throws caution to the wind, making obscene jokes and playfully mocking her higher-ups. Even an action as simple as eating a hamburger can be twisted into a dirty joke. She loves money, jewels and treasure, and according to her backstory, she decided to become a Vtuber to get money to buy her own ship. This makes her canonically a cosplayer. Though she claims to be 17 years old, her self-described "granny" voice, lack of physical stamina, and extensive knowledge of 2000-2010 Internet culture indicate that she is almost certainly older than she claims she is. She greets her viewers with "Ahoy!" a typical pirate greeting.

With tens of millions of fans on YouTube and Bilibili, they are one of the leading VTuber agencies not only in Japan but also in China and Worldwide. Cover Corp was originally founded on June 13th, 2016. The first generation of Hololive talents debuted from May to June 2018.
