Kantai Collection character introduced in the Summer 2016 event. The personification of the historic Japanese submarine I-26. Designed by Kuuro Kuro and voiced by Ogura Yui. Her nickname is "Nimu". She has long light brown hair styled in a two side up and light brown eyes. Wears a new school swimsuit (as opposed to all the other submarines who wear old school swimsuits), a sailor collared short sleeved green jacket, two-toned hairband, and sandals. She carries her machinery like a backpack. Nimu is a Type B submarine like I-19 "Iku", and like her sister she is well endowed, but slightly smaller. Her historical counterpart is responsible for dealing the final fatal blow via torpedo to the cruiser USS Juneau, which famously took the lives of the five Sullivan brothers that were serving on Juneau when she sank. This led to the institution of the Sole Survivor Policy. The submarine also managed to cause significant damage to USS Saratoga, leaving her dead in the water for a time.

Kantai Collection (艦隊これくしょん Kantai Korekushon, lit. "Fleet Collection", subtitled as "Combined Fleet Girls Collection"), abbreviated as KanColle (艦これ KanKore), is a Japanese free-to-play web browser game developed by Kadokawa Games.[2][3] The game was launched on April 23, 2013.[4] As of April 2015, the game is available in Japan only and has 3 million registered players.[5] The game has developed into a much larger media franchise; various media including multiple manga series and light novels have been released, in addition to an officially licensed tabletop role-playing game. A PlayStation Vita game was released in February 2016,[6] and an anime television series began airing its first season in January 2015,[7] with an animated film[8] released in November 2016 as the sequel to the series.
