Illustrious is an aircraft carrier of the Illustirous-class. She took part in the Battle of Taranto against the Italian Navy. The battle started at night and dealt a serious blow to the Italian Navy. In 1944, Illustrious sailed to the Indian Ocean. There she paired up with Saratoga for joint operations against the Japanese occupying the Dutch East Indies. Both her default skin and her Morning Star of Love and Hope skin feature Fairey Swordfish bi-plane torpedo bombers and Fairey Fulmar fighters. These and the Blackburn Skua dive bombers were the first planes she was equipped with.
