An Amakusa Catholic girl. She seems to have romantic feelings towards Tōma bordering on actual love but due to her shyness, she was not able to act on them and convey them to him. She has accompanied Tōma and friends on more than one occasion, going to, Italy, France, and then England with him. In the events of the 16th novel she becomes his caretaker. When Acqua first attacks, she fails to protect Touma, trying unsuccessfully to heal him with magic several times due to his Imagine Breaker. After Touma is sent to the hospital she is seen despairing because of her failure. She is rebuked by Tatemiya Saiji, who tells her to stop feeling sad and look to the future, when Acqua will come and attack again, and that she should focus on proving to Touma that it was worth his time protecting her from Acqua. During the Amakusa Catholics' rematch against Aqua after Tōma was nearly killed, she displayed a sudden change of personality, becoming full of tranquil fury that even the way she spoke changed. She performed a "Saint Destroyer" in that battle, harming Acqua causing him to lose the "Divine Mother's Mercy". Her weapon is a Friulian Spear which by adding layers of reinforcement, it turns the spear to a symbol of a "Thousand Years Tree," which symbolizes the growth of plants and makes certain magic spells to be more potent over time and she also can perform Nanasen (七閃?, "Seven Flash") by manipulating her spear and steel wires just like Kanzaki Kaori.
A Certain Magical Index
Academy City, Japan, is at the forefront of science. Besides being 30 years ahead of the world technologically, more than three-fourths of this peculiar city's population consists of students developing their psychic abilities as espers in various institutions. Toaru Majutsu no Index II continues the story of action and comedy, as the scale of Touma and his allies' battle grows ever larger. A conflict is slowly brewing on the horizon, and magic and science will cross paths once again in the war to come.
A Certain Magical Index III
Touma Kamijou can't catch a break. After the invasion of Academy City, political tensions continue to rise as both the science and magic factions collide head on. It appears that Academy City intends to declare war against the Roman Catholic Church, consequently plunging the whole world into global warfare. Touma soon finds himself on the front lines once again, striving to protect his friends and allies. Toaru Majutsu no Index III serves as the last installment of the original franchise as Touma, Accelerator, and the true level 0 Shiage Hamazura continue their separate journeys, leading up to the final act of the original light novel series.
