Kinue Hayase is the mother of Masamune Makabe and Chinatsu Hayase who is also the reason why Masamune gains weight. Kinue is a very short and small woman with light brown hair that curls at the tips, brown eyes and she can be easily mistaken for a child due to her short and small body, even though she is 42 years old. She wears a head band that has a dog foot print on and she usually is seen wearing an apron. She is also mistaken for a young child because of her looks. Kinue is a positive mother who is always doting on her children and she shows special attention to Masamune where she is always trying to do things that will make him happy, yet he often gets annoyed about. Since she already looks like a child, her personality often portrays child-like behavior. She shows mood swings whenever Masamune rejects her food offers, being happy to instantly saddenned that he won't eat her food. Whenever this happens, she feels that Masamune hates her, even though it is entirely false and that he just does not want to get fat.
Masamune-kun's Revenge
As a child, Masamune Makabe once suffered greatly at the hands of a wealthy and beautiful girl named Aki Adagaki, who nicknamed him "Piggy" due to his chubby appearance. Seeking revenge against his tormentor, Masamune works hard to improve himself and returns as an incredibly handsome, albeit narcissistic, high school student. When he encounters Aki once again, he is prepared to exact vengeance. With the aid of the rich girl's maid, Yoshino Koiwai, Masamune slowly begins to build his relationship with Aki, intending to break her heart when the time is right. However, as his friendship with Aki begins to grow, Masamune starts to question the objectives of his devious plans, and if bringing them to fruition is what his heart truly desires.
