Kukuru is a high school student acting as the director of a small "Gamagama Aquarium" in Okinawa. She has a direct and cheerful personality. Having a stronger attachment to the aquarium than anyone else, Kukuru has a professional side where she is willing to speak harshly when living creatures are involved. She is ignorant of fashion. Kukuru is struggling to revitalize the "Gamagama Aquarium," which is on the verge of closing.
