She wears a very similar outfit to the first three members of her class; a white shirt with a vest over it. Kuroshio comes off as friendly and honest, showing a childhood friend-like behavior towards the commander, referring to them informally as "Chief" and generally talking to them in a casual manner rather then as a superior.

A PlayStation Vita game was released in February 2016,[6] and an anime television series began airing its first season in January 2015,[7] with an animated film[8] released in November 2016 as the sequel to the series.
