Lisa Highwalker (リーザ・ハイウォーカー, Rīza Haiuōkā) is one of the main female characters in the Unlimited Fafnir series. She is a D, Student No 1 of Brynhildr Class and a member of the Dragon Subjugation Squad. Lisa is portrayed as a sixteen-year-old blonde with long hair reaching down to her knees, with short curls at the end and long bangs on both sides of the face, blue eyes and a large bust. She is usually clad in Midgard Academy's standard female uniform and wears a pink headband with a ribbon on the left side, black pantyhose and high heals. Her dragon mark is located on her bottom. At first, Lisa displayed a harsh and cold attitude. However, this is merely a facade, as Lisa is kindhearted and cares very much for her classmates, considering them family. She takes the role of the big sister among the members of Brynhildr Class, supporting them always in their problems and doing whatever is necessary to help them, even if her attitude comes out a bit severe sometimes. Because of her behavior, she is greatly respected by all of Midgard's girls. However, she tends to get easily flustered and embarrassed whenever Firill Crest pokes fun at her or Yuu Mononobe praises her good qualities.

Midgar, all-girl academy, would have been notable just for the action of accepting its first and only male student, Yuu Mononobe. But Midgar stands out for much more than that: it's a school exclusive to a group of girls known as D's. Each of them have extremely powerful abilities in generating dark matter and manipulating it into powerful weaponry. The D's didn't exist twenty-five years ago, and only appeared after a number of mysterious, destructive monsters known as "Dragons" started appearing around the world. Strangely, just as suddenly as they appeared, they vanished. In their destructive wake, some girls started being born with symbols on their bodies and powers similar in nature to those wielded by the Dragons themselves. Now the D's attend this school, hoping to harness and utilize their powers against the Dragons. Yuu is their latest member and is extraordinary for being the only known male D in existence. Now he must forge relationships with the girls around him, including his long separated sister who attends the school as well, and work with them to investigate and eliminate the threat of the powerful Dragons.
