Lucy is a magical researcher who works for the Elgos Order that exists with the objective to fight Dracula threats and guard his material possessions along the Grimoires that contain records from many timelines. She came into the Elgos Order some time after Hermina's abrupt departure, where she played a key role in restoring the Grimoires that had been destroyed by Hermina.

Castlevania: Hymn of Blood is an interpretation of a possible backstory for Simon Belmont, the protagonist of the Castlevania video games. It should come as a relief to old-school gamers that the serialized story seems to focus more on references and lore from the three NES games, rather than anything from the more recent (and terrible) games.
