The M14 is a battle rifle introduced in 1959. It was the weapon that was adopted by the U.S. military as a replacement for the M1 Garand as the United States Service rifle. As well, the M14 has been officially replaced by the burst firing M16 in the service rifle role, as of 1970 but is still used as a precision/designated marksman rifle. Officially it was known as U.S. rifle, 7.62mm, M14, and described as "a lightweight, air-cooled, gas-operated, magazine-fed, shoulder weapon". It is designed primarily for semiautomatic fire and has a selector switch on the shooter's right at the rear of the receiver that allows for fully-automatic fire. Many variants of the M14 exist, the most notable being its Designated marksman rifle variant, the MK14 Enhanced Battle Rifle.

Girls' Frontline is a mobile strategy game developed by MICA Team, a Chinese company. It is a moe anthropomorphism game in which the player controls echelons of characters, each of which are based on actual guns. The game was released in Mainland China on 20 May 2016, and in Hong Kong and Taiwan on 18 January 2017. It was also released in South Korea on 30 June 2017. The English version published by SUNBORN Network Technology was released on May 8, 2018. This game is a prequel of another game developed by the same company called Bakery Girls.
