Makoto Isshiki is a character in the Japanese light novel series and anime, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. Makoto was the first friend that Yuuta Togashi made in high school and he sits behind Yuuta. Similarly to Yuuta, Makoto hardly knew anyone in their class at first. He often makes profiles of other girls in the class. He later joins the Light Music Club to get attentions from girls until he met Kumin Tsuyuri. He bought a new red electric guitar but barely knew how to play it. Later on, he decides to leave the club, but his seniors didn't approve of his decision. Makoto is a friendly boy who befriends Yuuta Togashi on their first day in class. He often makes profiles on other girls and is constantly trying to get their attention. He falls in love with Kumin Tsuyuri when she is longing to pat his head.

Everybody has had that stage in their life where they have thought themselves to be special, different from the masses of ordinary humans. As this eccentric young girl crashes into Yuuta's life, his dream of an ordinary, chuunibyou-free life quickly crumbles away.
