Heckler & Koch Maschinenpistole (MP)7
from Girls' Frontline
Origin
Germany
Compact, light-weight, while having a higher firepower than a pistol would be the main features of Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) type firearms. The MP7 was H&K's answer to NATO's demand of PDWs, design phase finished in 1999, further improvements were made during it's production life time and many variants spawned. Designed to chamber the H&K's Proprietary 4.6x30mm high performance AP cartridge, 4.6mm has less damage to flesh when compared to the other popular handgun cartridge such as the 9mm Parabellum .40 S&W .45 ACP, but it does has a significantly better armor piercing performance and better ballistics. MP7 operates on a short-stroke piston gas rotary bolt system that can also be found on the G36 and HK416, able to feed on 20, 30 and 40 round magazines, MP7 is able to achieve a cyclic rate of fire of 950 rounds per minute, covering an effective range of 200 metres. Addition to fully automatic firing, MP7 also feature a semi-automatic fire mode. The gun frame is made of mostly polymer compounds, the weapon itself only weights 2.1kg with a loaded magazine. MP7 features a foldable frontal fore grip in front of the trigger guard and an extendable stock, when the stock is not extended, the weapon only measures 415mm in length. Picatinny rails can be found on top of the weapon and both side of the barrel, weapon comes with default illuminated iron sights, but many commercial optics and combat accessories are compatible with MP7 thanks to the rails. MP7 and it's variants are widely exported and enlisted to service by many military and law enforcement units all over the world, users range from the London Metropolitan Police, South Korean SWAT Police and even the US Army's Delta Force.
