Mutsumi is the main character of the series and best friends with Chitose Naruse. A good student and a lover of bugs and everything similar. Her knowledge on insects and such is so vast that shes essentially and encyclopedia on the topic, her insight consistently being empirical in the survival of her group. She displays similar virtues to her friend Chitose, although a bit more eccentric due to her peculiar love of insects, and overall less strict.
