Unveiled to public in 1999, OTs-39 is a selective fire, blow-back operated SMG developed by TsKIB SOO. Designed to chamber the 7.62x25mm Tokarev cartridge, OTs-39 have access to the 20, 30 or 42-rounds magazines from the other Tokarev cartridge firing weapons. OTs-39 is one of the few modern Russian SMG chambered with old Soviet 7.62x25mm Tokarev, which was mainly used in Tokarev, PPSh/PPD SMGs back in WW2. Other firearms such as the OTs-27 Berdysh pistols and PP-19 Bizon SMG are examples of other modern Russian firearm that chambers this cartridge. OTs-39 rate of fire is only 540 rounds per minute cyclic for better recoil controlling and mid-range effectiveness; making it as a slowest SMG that uses this type of cartridge. OTs-39P is the 9mm variant of it's predecessor, which uses 9x19mm Parabellum or Russian 7N31 over pressured 9mm caliber. This variant have a faster rate of fire, fed with 9mm compatible magazines, a modified barrel with a new muzzle brake and a reworked mechanism for the new caliber. 9mm Parabellum have less penetration when compared to 7.62 Tokarev, but it does have a greater stopping power, recoil is also smaller so the weapon can be modified to fire faster. Prominent features on the OTs-39 includes an ambidextrous fire selector switch on each side of the weapon allowing instant access to the user, the weapon can be equipped with an integral laser aiming module for close quarters use. OTs-39 also features a right side folding weapon stock.

Girls' Frontline is a mobile strategy game developed by MICA Team, a Chinese company. It is a moe anthropomorphism game in which the player controls echelons of characters, each of which are based on actual guns. The game was released in Mainland China on 20 May 2016, and in Hong Kong and Taiwan on 18 January 2017. It was also released in South Korea on 30 June 2017. The English version published by SUNBORN Network Technology was released on May 8, 2018. This game is a prequel of another game developed by the same company called Bakery Girls.
