Description

The QSB-91 is a combination handgun/knife developed in China during the early 1990's. It is currently in use by special elements of the PLA, as well as some units of the Chinese armed police. The QSB-91 is a fixed-blade combat knife, with a round hollow handle made of metal. Inside the handle, four fixed 7.62x17mm barrels are pointing toward the blade, with two barrels at each side of the blade. Unscrewing the end cap on the bottom of the handle exposes the breech end of the barrels. The end cap contains a rotating striker, which turns 90 degrees before striking the next primer every time the trigger is pulled. Each barrel must be manually reloaded after use. The trigger is located at the front of the grip and doubles as a sort of handguard for the knife. The trigger unit is double action only, with a relatively long and heavy trigger pull. To fire a round, the knife must first be removed from the sheath, as the sheath blocks the barrels of the gun. The user then takes aim by pointing the knife tip towards the target. Fixed sights are located on the grip at roughly the 11 o’clock position when looking from the rear. Once a target is acquired, the trigger can be pulled up to 4 times, with each trigger pull discharging one barrel. The QSB-91 uses the 7.62x17mm pistol cartridge, a domestically-designed round. It was originally designed for use with the integrally-suppressed Type 64. The round based on the 7.65x17SR Browning (.32ACP) cartridge, but with a rimless case. Therefore, unlike the practically noiseless Russian NRS shooting knife, the QSB-91 shooting knife is far from being quiet when it is used to shoot at the enemy. The claimed effective range when firing the built-in barrels is stated to be around 10 meters. Personality: She once worked as a waitress at a small restaurant. It was there that she discovered her talent for fighting while helping customers during a brawl, which led to her joining Griffin. She's an innocent and lively lass who wears her heart on her sleeve, and she's supposedly a great cook. She also holds the record at Griffin for the "highest number of bottles opened barehanded", and is very popular with the more alcoholic Dolls.
