She once lost to Kuroko in a fight and has been obsessed in a rematch ever since, although Kuroko is not interested since according to both its such a match neither was even sure how Kuroko won. This frustates Ran a bit since she is a fighting maniac. Despite Ran being such a huge woman she dwarves even Kuroko and her obsession for fighting, Ran is a relatively calm and nice person normally, getting exceptionally well with the childish Mako.
