Ryoko Subaru is the hotheaded leader of the Aestivalis squad for the Nadesico, she piloted a red Aestivalis 0G Battle Frame during the Jovian War. Tough and rather brash, she has little respect for people who can't prove themselves or don't do their absolute best. She is the daughter of a scram-jet fighter pilot so she really hasn't had a normal childhood. She is emotionally unsure about herself and doesn't think she has talents other than piloting and killing. She doesn't consider herself to be attractive, despite her healthy athletic physique. For the duration of the Jovian war, she had green hair, however, her natural hair is black.
