Sayo Ikenohata (池之端 サヨいけのはた さよ, Ikenohata Sayo) is one of the main characters of the series. She is one of Shouta's fifth grade classmates and comes from an established family with a tradition in Ikebana. Sayo is a a young girl and is noticeable for her short height. She is the youngest and has the shortest height of the girls that Shouta met so far in the series. Sayo is a girl that has a sweet and charming personality. She falls in love with Shouta after he helps her getting away from a seemingly dire situation although this was based on a misunderstanding.
