Shinobu is a first year student from Ooarai Girls Academy. She's also a member of the volleyball varsity team and her specialty is attacking. She's also the driver of the Duck Team's Type 89B "I-Go" tank. When driving the Type 89, Shinobu shows a significant amount of skill and talent when navigating, evading and assaulting with the medium tank. This can often be seen with the Type 89 constantly zig zagging through battles, most likely with care to the fact that any hits on their vehicle what-so-ever will knock them out of the match. Shinobu is a tall and slender girl with short brown hair, tied in a small ponytail using a red hair tie, and a pair of brown eyes. She wears the school's volleyball uniform (#5). During matches, she wears the Ooarai Sensha-Dō uniform alongside the rest of her teammates. Compared to her teammates, she's very serious, and she also has a strong determination to revive her former club (not as much as Noriko, though). She's probably the most intelligent and logical in her group. Contrary to her cold and aloof appearance, she is actually warm-hearted and caring. Shinobu tends to be the tsukkomi of her volleyball team, usually the one to question the team's own actions, and sometimes expressing annoyance at some of her teammate's more ridiculous actions.

"Senshadou" is a traditional sport using World War II era tanks in elimination-based matches. Widely practiced by women and girls alike, it's advertised as a form of art geared towards making ladies more prominent in culture and appealing to men. Becoming a worldwide phenomenon over time, the influence of senshadou leads to the creation of a world championship which will soon be held in Japan. Miho Nishizumi, who comes from a lineage of well-respected senshadou specialists, is at odds with the sport after a traumatic event led to her retirement and eventually a rift to form between her and her family. To steer clear of the practice as much as possible, she transfers to Ooarai Girls High School where the senshadou program has been abolished. However, with the news of the upcoming championships, the school revives their tankery program, and Miho is pushed into joining. Now, with the aid of some new friends, she must overcome her past and once again take command of a squadron of tanks in an effort to save her school from closure, all while proving to her family that the Nishizumi-style of senshadou is not solely about victory.
