Description

Shouhou is an archer light carrier, who wears relatively little clothing. She wears a bandeau which shares the same appearance as the real ship's flight deck, a half of a shirt on her right side, and a skirt. She is the name ship of the Shouhou class light carrier comprised of herself and sister, Zuihou. • Shouhou translates to "auspicious phoenix". • She originally was laid down as the submarine tender / fleet oiler "Tsurugizaki", she was renamed and converted while under construction into an aircraft carrier by the 2nd Naval Armaments Supplement Programme with Zuihou. • Her name was mistranslated by the Americans as "Ryukaku". • Sunk by air attack during the Battle of Coral Sea, 7 May 1942. She was the first Japanese aircraft carrier to be sunk during World War II.

Kantai Collection (艦隊これくしょん Kantai Korekushon, lit. "Fleet Collection", subtitled as "Combined Fleet Girls Collection"), abbreviated as KanColle (艦これ KanKore), is a Japanese free-to-play web browser game developed by Kadokawa Games.[2][3] The game was launched on April 23, 2013.[4] As of April 2015, the game is available in Japan only and has 3 million registered players.[5] The game has developed into a much larger media franchise; various media including multiple manga series and light novels have been released, in addition to an officially licensed tabletop role-playing game. A PlayStation Vita game was released in February 2016,[6] and an anime television series began airing its first season in January 2015,[7] with an animated film[8] released in November 2016 as the sequel to the series.
