A beautiful woman who served Emperor Toba. She was said to be the disguised figure of the white-faced, nine-tailed fox. Her childhood name was Misukume (藻女, ?). Working in the palace since 18 years-old, she later became a court lady of Emperor Toba under the name of Tamamo-no-Mae. She was said to have gradually gained the favor of Emperor Toba with her beauty and extensive knowledge. She was said to have the looks of a twenty year old. In Fate/Extra, Tamamo-no-Mae is a soul that branched off from Amaterasu and her true identity is not that of a nine-tailed fox, but rather is treated as one of the facets of said goddess. Also, its a big mistake to categorize her as an Heroic Spirit. Because Tamamo-no-Mae turned into a Heroic Spirit in order to realize her wish of "becoming a good wife", she cannot manifest her original power. In the case that she is revived as an evil spirit, she will undergo a transformation into a large monster that can defeat even 100 heroes. It is not just for show that she is called one of Japan's Three Great Monsters. There are many theories, but later she was driven away from the palace when her identity was exposed by a Onmyouji who investigated and identified her as the cause to why Emperor Toba had fallen seriously ill. After leaving the palace, she built a bad reputation in the fields of Nasu and had to repel an subjugation army of 80,000 men dispatched under the Emperor's order.

Fate/Grand Order (Game)
Fate/Grand Order is an online, free-to-play role-playing mobile game developed by Delightworks using Unity, and published by Aniplex. The game is based on Type-Moon's Fate/stay night franchise, and was released in Japan on July 29, 2015 for Android, and on August 12, 2015 for iOS. The game is centered around turn-based combat where the player, who takes on the role of a "Master", summons and commands powerful familiars known as "Servants" to battle enemies. The story narrative is presented in a visual novel format, and each Servant has their own scenario which the player can explore. In 2015, the Chaldea Security Organization draws on experts of both the magical and mundane fields to observe the future of mankind for possible extinction events. Humanity's survival seems assured for the next century—until the verdict suddenly changes, and now eradication of the species awaits at the end of 2016. The cause is unknown, but appears to be linked with the Japanese town of Fuyuki and the events of 2004 during the Fifth Holy Grail War. In response, Chaldea harnesses an experimental means of time travel, the Rayshift technology. With it, Ritsuka Fujimaru (a young man or woman, depending on the player's choice of gender) was newly recruited to the organization, and a mysterious girl named Mash Kyrielight, can travel back to 2004 and discover how to save humanity. A grand order to fight fate has been declared—an order to change the past and restore the future.[12] Following the events in Fuyuki, Ritsuka Fujimaru and Mash Kyrielight must restore the Foundation of Humanity by retrieving powerful Holy Grails.
