Tohru is a cheerful and outgoing young man with a happy-go-lucky and gentle personality. He is friendly and kind to anyone, whether they are locals, outsiders or strangers, a trait which has people, like Natsuno, open up to him, making him well liked by his peers. He also cares about his family and enjoys playing video games. Tohru is Natsuno's closest friend in Sotoba. Tooru is a well-liked guy in the village of Sotoba and has many friends. He still lives at home together with his parents and his younger brother and sister (Tamotsu and Aoi). Tohru usually hangs out with Masao and Natsuno. Tohru has blonde hair with light brown eyes and fair skin color. He is always wearing a white T-shirt and brown, short pants and sandals.
Shiki
Sotobamura is a small village with around 1300 inhabitants. It is a village which is connected to not even a single highway. An isolated village in which old customs, such as the burial of the dead, are still practiced. One day, the corpses of 3 persons are found. Although Ozaki Toshio, the village's lone doctor, feels uncertain, he treats the deaths as normal occurrences. However, in the days following, the villagers die one after the other. Is this mere coincidence, an epidemic, or something else entirely?
