The Type 79 (1979年式7.62mm轻型冲锋枪; 1979 Type 7.62mm Submachine Gun") but more commonly known (79式冲锋枪; literally: "79 Type Submachine Gun") is the first generation indigenous sub-machine gun used by the Chinese military, security, and police forces. The submachine gun was type classified in 1979 and entered mass production in 1983. The Type 79 is widely equipped by the PLAAF, scout and special operation units, as well as the People's Armed Police (PAP) and the Public Security Police.

Girls' Frontline is a mobile strategy game developed by MICA Team, a Chinese company. It is a moe anthropomorphism game in which the player controls echelons of characters, each of which are based on actual guns. The game was released in Mainland China on 20 May 2016, and in Hong Kong and Taiwan on 18 January 2017. It was also released in South Korea on 30 June 2017. The English version published by SUNBORN Network Technology was released on May 8, 2018. This game is a prequel of another game developed by the same company called Bakery Girls.
