Uzoi (ウゾイ Uzoi) is an original character created by Yako Gureishi in the Somali and the Forest Spirit manga and anime series. Capable of being kind and irate in equal measure, Uzoi would look after Somali and help explain things to her but also voice her opinion that she was annoying when asking too many questions. She voices that hearing everything can get annoying in terms of the sound.

The world is ruled by spirits, goblins, and all manner of strange creatures. Human beings are persecuted, to the very point of extinction. One day, a golem and a lone human girl meet. This is a record of the pair, one a member of a ruined race, the other a watchman of the forest. It tells of their travels together and of the bond between father and daughter.
Somali and the Forest Spirit (Manga)
In a world where the ruined human species has been driven almost to extinction by the monsters that now dominate the land, a forest golem is surprised to find a human child sitting alone in the woods - dirty, barefoot, and in chains. The golem takes little Somali under his protection and the two begin a journey together, traveling through beautiful and dangerous lands where the small girl's humanity must be kept hidden for her own safety. The golem hopes to find Somali's parents alive somewhere, but the chances of this are slim; and besides, as far as Somali is concerned, she has already found herself a beloved father.
